On 6-8 November 2024, CSASE hosted the Intellectual Property in Africa workshop, which brought together intellectual property (IP) scholars and doctoral researchers of African descent from around the globe. The event provided a unique platform for African IP scholars to present, and obtain feedback on, their draft contributions to an original and comprehensive collection on the subject of IP and Africa, which aims to fill gaps in existing scholarship and amplify the voices of African IP scholars. The event also provided an opportunity for African doctoral students to connect with senior IP scholars from Harvard University as well as other universities.
